What’s Your Strategy?
Whether a sole proprietor or a CEO, much of the job is strategy development and execution of the plan. That entails a process of creating clarity of purpose, testing that clarity, and experimenting to finally achieve financial results. Whether we go back to Drucker and practice a management by objectives approach or we espouse an approach like that of Jim Collins (Good to Great) that is based upon high level leadership traits, it really seems to boil down to pretty much the same process.
If you haven’t taken some time lately to back off the accelerator and take a look not only at the road your on but also the surrounding countryside and the rearview mirror, it might be time to do it. When you take the time be prepared to make it worthwhile by structuring your thoughts and placing some faith in old school strategy. It will provide inspiration and serve you well.
